I love the idea of having lights under water. I've always thought what if major cities around the world start installing lights with colours that represent them, in well known/popular rivers that run through. I feel in years to come, cities or towns will start exploring this idea further and will become a new decoritive feature.
I think is act that the landlord is set on doing is taking away the history that sits within Brooklyn. Even with petitions and donations to keep the mural at bay, the landlord is still not able to carry it on. I'm sure if the community felt this passionate about a Biggie Smalls mural, that they'd set up a separate location for a new mural to be put up.
This is a brilliant piece of artwork by Koons, The sculpture creates a vibrance to the surrounding area and allows an area of interest. I'm a massive fan of large sculptures, ones that really make you say "woaaaahh" in your head.
Absolutely amazing to be able to have the time and dedication do create these masterpieces. Imagine if you has the time and resources to create long term pieces of artwork, I wonder what peoples outcome would be.
I think major companies like Amazon should be doing something like this. Giving back to the communities is such an important thing to do, good karma. I always think that large companies and brands should collaborate together and build shelters and other home schemes, it will benefit everyone, allowing people to find their feet and get back onto the ladder, I think it's just pure greed when brands don't give anything back. Well done Amazon.
I love the way this has been branded, the use of type and illustrations really add to the comical but serious feel. The Sober Parrot use a nice combination of type, using an all-caps sans-serif typeface and secondary script. Plus opening up a cool place for non-alcoholic drinks not only benefits the area, creating a new dynamic but also helps people with drink problems.
This work by Banksy is simplistically well executed. The location of this mural is cleverly based in Dover, one of the main lines of transport using the ferry to get to France and remaining Europe. This piece of artwork is remain as a reminder of how we were once in the European Union.
I had the pleasure and opportunity to learn and understand branding from Michael Johnson. Johnson went through the process of problem solving and how to tackle with clients and to come up with the right solution. Johnson has quite the sense of humour when it comes to addressing himself, and was very engaging with the audience. The best work I seen from this lecture was the work Johnson Bank's done with Virgin Atlantic, Mozilla, Action for Children, Action Against Hunger and C
I highly reccomend this short documentry fi you're interested in street culture and art. I've always been a massive fan of the sticker culture ever since been interested in street art and watching 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'. I used to create my own stickers with my own characters back in school when I had time to do so. Stickers is a easy way of expressing and spreading a message far and wide in disclosed areas or in high volume places. Stickers don't create a permanent mar
