Ikea commissions Jean Jullien and 11 other illustrators for Art Event print series
It's brilliant that companies like Ikea commission artists to create series of prints for furniture and other products. Doing something like this creates a wonderful link for well-known and newly discovered artists to the consumer world. It’s a lovely thought knowing that someone has a product with your artwork on it, sitting in a room in their home for others to see.

Gorillaz are back with a new album and an animated film by Jamie Hewlett
Gorillaz have always been one of my favourite artists growing up and there's nothing more exciting than hearing new tracks. The videos now have a new take on animation, massive comparison to their older videos back in the 00's. You can see the textures in each object to be much more realistic than just different tones to represent. For some reason I had a feeling they'd include the new 360 degrees feature in their video. Click here to see the latest Gorillazanimations.

Fanta rolls out rebrand and new bottle design in UK
I don't know why, but I get a bit excited when packaging gets redesigned. Fanta has always been one of my top choice of fizzy drinks, and I'm quite impressed with the rebrand and still holds the same personality from the previous design. I wonder what other designs they had in mind as well as the final, I think it would be exciting for the public to vote on a set of designs to choose from.

Graphic: the book showcasing 500 of the most notable designs of all time
This book would be fantastic for art departments in schools from all over. It would educate and inform people about the classic design work out there. Looking through, children and teenagers will see designs they'll recognise from everyday life but would not know the information that follows.

McBess captures the characters of St Patrick’s Day for Guinness campaign
McBess has always been one of most influential artists, I admire his work. His black and white monochrome style fits in well with Guinness, obviously being a black and white based beer and staying within the classic Guinness advertisements in the past. This idea to commission McBess was a brilliant one, his work really fits perfectly with advertising and other means of visual communication.

Aldi rebrands to appear more “contemporary”
Seeing this article was quite a strange one, I can recall about 2 months ago thinking when is Aldi going to spice things up and rebrand their logo.

Foster’s lager rolls out new visual identity
I'm not a massive fan of the product but the packaging and the rebrand of the logo is pretty nice and looks smoother on the eye in comparison with the previous identity. I admire the beer pump, the silver and blue fit together well and looks like you're guaranteed a cold refreshing drink.

New NHS graphic identity guidelines for logo, fonts and colours will “maintain public confidence”
Interesting read, It's nice to see that the brand identity is a little refreshed in some areas.
