British cartoonist Leo Baxendale, creator of the Bash Street Kids, has died aged 86
Quite sad to hear, I always looked at the illustrations in this version of The Beano when I was younger. I used to find something new I didn't see before every time I visited this book. It's a shame to hear that Baxendale has past but what I legend of illustration he's marked on history.

HSBC rolls out new “simplified” bank card design
Quite amusing seeing this article, when I had trouble with my bank card I was issued with this same design and then to see an article on it weeks later is intriguing to learn about how the design came across. I love the geometric shapes that make out the angles of the lion. The colours used on the card is very vibrant and is easily seen in your wallet/purse.

Netflix announces new docu-series exploring “the art of design”
This article is from 23rd Jan 2017 but I've only recently came around to watching this. The episode that really stood out to me is the first one with Christoph Niemann, which went through his processing and aspects on everything around us. I've been following his work on Instagram for a while and it was a delight seeing his work through film and how he designs. His work is a real inspiration to me and my own work, seeing a space or finding a object and finding another creativ

Next 'Call of Duty' Will Return the Franchise Back to World War II
Seeing this makes me laugh, after DICE doing really well with Battlefield 1, it's almost like Call of Duty are trying to copy. Call of Duty had a time when their games were something of pure memories, with their ideas running out and creating futuristic warfare, its about time they went back to basics. Even though Battlefield is for the real gamer and a much better gaming experience, I think I'll be giving this one a go and see what it's about, let's see if its better than 'W

LadBible rebrands to leave behind “negative associations” with lad culture
It's nice to finally see a change for Lad Bible, I've followed the online brand for a while and think this rebrand really changes the direction. Their rebrand creates a link to more of a wider audience than a narrow one for the 'lads'. I still think their articles are ridiculous, creating a whole article on something so small, its like they're bored or something. In terms of their branding, I like how they've created categories for different subjects like gaming or sports, st

This AI Mirror Is Practically a Robot Butler for Your Home
This is something we all see in movies etc. Imagine in a few years time this became a thing of the norm. It's so hard to predict the development in technology but you never know, we could be so close to the next step in technology. Household technology is growing rapidly, with devices like the Amazon Echo, you never know what's going to be the next thing. My predictions is that Google is going to release something similar to what you see in the article.

God Save the USA: Jamie Reid creates two Trump-based artworks for Toby Mott’s NYC counterculture fai
I think it was only a matter of time till Jamie Reid created something similar to the Sex Pistols. I wonder if Trump as seen this, or just ignores anything like this.

Fashion's Most Iconic Logos Get Remixed
Seeing brands like Supreme or Marc Jacobs being turned into a parody with common logos you see on a day to day basis really takes out the exclusiveness. Imagine if all the logos in the world flipped and everything turned into something different or the opposite, that would send the world into chaos.

Artist Reimagines Pablo Picasso's Famous Paintings as Hyperrealistic 3D Visuals
I think later down the line, classic artists and paintings will get treatment in someway of another. Someone will create their own artwork, such as this one, creating 3D forms out of Picasso paintings. It would be interesting to see what someone can do with Claude Monét paintings.

Jean Jullien illustrates wine labels with no name for Majestic Wine
I'm very much a fan of Jean Jullien's work and what strikes me the most, is the illustrations reflects the occasion and mood for each individual wine. It's nice to see his work on packaging comparing to prints etc. My favourite out the wine set is the rosé design, I can see that fitting in well within a party situation.
