It's always an experimental process of trail and error when it comes to combining two cultures and two different design aesthetics relating to countries. I love how the English rose is in fusion with the Japanese abstract shapes. Looking further into this article, the branding has this clean sophsticated feel with the Japanese combination which is executed well.
Absolutely beautiful resort, I would love to go there myself it would be so relaxing and a wonderful sight with sunrises and sunsets. It's reminds me something from Star Wars or a different planet with the layout of the buildings and the archeciture itself.
This is probably one of my favourite deck collections. I love illustrations which show the opposite of what is meant to be shown by that character. My favourite style of illustration is where you can see a lot going on, making it interesting to look at, the more you look the more you notice something new every time. If I was going to choose one of these decks I would go for the third one from the left.
Sculptures like this will be an eye saw to some but I love things like this. It would be so interesting to see a series of themed sculptures set out across a city, all linking together or telling a story. Something like that could be a great way for a marketing campaign. (rubs chin emoji)
This is actually so sad that this has happened. It's sad enough that we have lost a legend in music like Kurt but to lose some of his personal and well cared for treasures and memories are gone to smoke and fire. Physical items may have been lost but the music will always remain in history and peoples hearts.
See this is why I blog for art and design. I've found another artist that I adore, Seth's work is right up my street. The illustration style is beautiful the way he uses line and colour together is really effective and the way the characters interact with the environment is clever. Seth's work is highly inspriational with my own style of work.
The whole smart phone era hasn't really been around long enough to see the long term effects of how it can really damage us. The one that comes across to me is the fact that we use our small finger to balance and hold the phone, which eventually could it cause arthritis? Should companies and organisations that are specialised in health effects work together with digital companies? I think if smart phone companies and computer based organisations work together with health and
I've loved seeing different design communications with the World Cup being in motion, all the colours, shapes and typographical elements that represents each nation. So far this has been one of my favourites.
I love the way how Crayola collaborate and work well with makeup because they carry the same characteristic of using a pen/brush. They needs to be more fun collaborations like this. Back when I was at university we had a live brief set by a branding agency which allowed us to have the opportunity to collaborate two brands together. My take on the project was collaborating Rough Trade x Yamaha which was a fantastic and exciting project to design.
I think this is a really good idea and path to follow. With previous design changes to packaging of cigarettes, doing the same to alcohol might have the same effects. I know this is Co-op's own-brand packaging but imagine if this was applied to most of the branded alcohol, it could make a difference. Another great idea with supermarket own-branded items like alcohol is that they could involve local or national artists to design packaging, imagery and typography, and could be
